This page explains how users of Bharat Ki App (listed on Google Play as Bharat Ki App) can request permanent deletion of their account and associated personal data.
How to request account deletion
Follow these steps to delete your Bharat Ki App account and personal data:
- Open the Bharat Ki App and sign in with your registered phone number (if you still have access).
- Go to Me → open the menu → tap Privacy & Security to review what data is public vs private.
- Send an email to support@bharatki.app with the subject line: Delete my Bharat Ki App account.
- In the email, include your registered phone number (with country code) and, if possible, your display name as shown in the app.
- We will verify your identity and email you when deletion is complete (usually within 30 days).
If you cannot access the app, you may still email us from any address; we will verify ownership using your registered phone number.

Data that will be deleted
When your deletion request is processed, we delete or anonymize the following, where applicable:
- Your account profile (display name, photo, bio, demographics you provided)
- Phone number and email associated with your account
- Private messages, notification tokens, and device identifiers linked to your account
- Exact GPS check-in coordinates and location history tied to your account
- Videos, microblogs, news posts, polls, events, and comments you published
- Followers, following, likes, and channel preferences stored for your account
- Feed and video view activity linked to your user ID
Data that may be kept
Some information may be retained after account deletion when required by law, safety, or fraud prevention:
- Records of abuse, safety, or legal reports involving your account (retained as long as needed for compliance and investigations)
- Aggregated or anonymized analytics that cannot identify you
- Backup copies that are automatically purged within 90 days after deletion is confirmed
- Transaction or billing records if you made purchases through the app (retained as required by tax and financial regulations)
Processing time & retention period
We aim to complete account deletion within 30 days of verifying your request. During this period your account may be deactivated and you may not be able to sign in. Residual backup data is removed within 90 days unless a longer period is required by law.
